The Return of Kitten Heels

Congratulations, womankind! After seasons of sky-high stilettos, the dainty demiheel is back!

Okay before I disclose the reason of my excitement, I would like to introduce you to Kitten heels first..:-B
A kitten heel is a short, slender heel, usually from 3.5 centimeters (1.5 inches) to 5 centimeters (2 inches) high with a slight curve setting the heel in from the edge of the shoe. The style was popularized by Audrey Hepburn. It is particularly common on sandals. They are sometimes worn by women who are especially tall, who want the curve and sex appeal of a high heel, but not the added height.
Ha ha ha... Sorry sucker head stilettos and platforms! :-q This fall, it's all about the kitten heel. A lot more practical and demure, the kitten heel always looks smart and appropriate. Wear it with skirts, dresses or jeans. These beautiful things lift your stride only a few comfortable inches and at the same time spare you of bunions, corns, grazes and finally broken ankles letting you keep up with all the work and also the play in your life. And please, after all it Audrey Hepburn who started the trend!(now you know why I like them!)

The Fall 2010 winter runways shocked many when they noticed kitten heels instead of their favourite "break my ankle" heels. If you dont see my point then take a look...

What goes up, comes down sweethearts, its science! Its not always that Fashion goes hand in hand with comfort!:)>-
Many people out there dont really love the kitten heels, many are even ditching the trend but someone like me is very happy. You see, I could never figure out how to handle my self in pumps, I always found myself tripping and walking awkwardly every single time. b-( Therefore I know Im home when I am wearing these adorable things!
The females in my family, (namely me,mom and my kid sis) are shoe freaks, we own it it flats, boots (in every hue!yes, i am not kidding!), pumps, gladiators (3 till now...) and the list is endless. While my mother and sister share the same shoe size, I still wear size 4 (I know, its funny and I DONT look for shoes in the kids section if you are going to say that!) so i ease into their footwear while they cant see themselves in my shoes...he he. ;))

Now the point is, those girlies come from that part of the world where they love pumps and me, I am Ms.down-to-earth-five-foot-four! I have no complaints with my height, that is a very trivial issue and hence I am in love with kitten heels and their coming into trend has made me a happy woman! And them,o...they are boycotting the trend basically!I so wish it stays, 8-> but you know it wont, what goes around comes around....maybe by the time spring comes we will all have to go with ankle breakers and see models falling off the ramp.;)
